About Us
Welcome to our new
home for pampered pets! We're excited to be able to share
our home with you and your pets. We chose
High Springs (near Oleno State Park)
because we found a beautiful, natural location that we and our animals
love.
Here, we're also able to spend as much time as possible with our
guests. We love our pets, and we know you love yours, so it's our business
(and pleasure!) to make your pet's stay as happy and healthy as possible.
We'll be
posting photos soon as we progress, so please be sure to check back.
We not only welcome
but we encourage you to preview our facility before boarding your pet. (We
only ask that you make an appointment to do so.)
We welcome the opportunity
to answer any questions you may have and to earn, and keep, your business.
If you're looking for a facility closer to Gainesville that provides the
same TLC and quality services, visit us at
Archer Road Pet Resort.
Our Facility
Our facility is air conditioned
during the warm and hot summer months and heated during the winter, so we provide year-round
boarding comfort. Each pet enjoys large, cozy,
individual housing areas with
a door to their outdoor run access that is under a roof (covered) to protect them from the
sun, rain, etc. yet still fenced and secure.
We provide Kuranda beds which are actually cots to keep
pets up off the floor for sleeping. Owners are welcome to bring bedding
from home as long as bedding is not oversized and can be machine washed.
Of course, cats are boarded in a comfortable separate area from the dogs. More about boarding
Animal Health & Cleanliness
We require all boarded pets be in
good health upon arrival and that you provide proof of current
vaccinations per your veterinarian’s protocol. We require rabies, DA2PLP,
and Bordetella (every six months) for dogs and rabies and FVRCP for cats.
Upon arrival, we check pets for overall health, cleanliness, and fleas. If
a pet requires a bath or flea treatment, this will be done, for a separate
charge, before they are placed in the housing area. If pets get terribly
soiled during their stay, we also bathe them, at the owner’s expense, as
we do not leave pets dirty while boarding or when we send them home to
you.
Sanitation
Sanitation and cleanliness are
major priorities at Vacation Station, and we pride ourselves on keeping
our facilities extra clean. In fact, we’ve built a reputation on this.
Runs are thoroughly disinfected every morning and again at any time they
may become soiled. The same policy applies to cats. We use an EPA approved
disinfectant, which is safe, nontoxic and effective.
